CONSULTATION
Lacour Energy is now undertaking community consultation on the North Williams Wind Farm project. We care about building genuine long-lasting relationships with stakeholders and the host communities in which we work. We endeavour to look out for each other, our communities and the environment.
The Lacour Energy team is working on two potential wind farm projects in the region, one at West Arthur (Stage 1 is southwest of Darkan) and another north of Williams. Lacour has been speaking at Council meetings, presenting at the West Arthur Wind Energy forums in mid 2023 and late 2024, exhibiting at the Wagin Woolorama in 2025 and we are now pleased to announce our community information sessions for the North Williams project in June 2025 (see below). As the project progresses, more frequent and detailed engagement on the specific project will take place to ensure community awareness and involvement.
Engagement is proposed to be undertaken in a manner consistent with industry best practice. A key part of engaging with the community is to work together to solve challenges with delivering the project, such as housing, and to ensure potential local and regional employment and economic opportunities associated with construction and operations are realised. We aim to engage with local businesses as the project progresses, and we anticipate ongoing consultation through project development, construction and operation phases.
June 2025 North Williams Community Information Session
It was great to connect with the Williams community during our recent information sessions on the 25th and 26th of June 2025. We appreciated the warm welcome from local community and the valuable conversations shared throughout the two days. If you missed the sessions or have further questions, please contact us.
Planned consultation activities:
We commenced our community information sessions in Williams in June 2025. The dates and times for future sessions will be posted on this website and advertised locally well in advance. Please register to be kept up to date on information about the project and community information sessions.
